Recently, I checked out the MacArthur Place, a boutique property just steps from downtown Sonoma in wine country of Northern California.. I very much enjoyed the layout of the property with all the rooms in cottages throughout a nicely manicured lawn and garden areas. In order to dramatically transform the maintenance of such a lawn, equipment like that riding lawn mower under 1000 can be utilized because it offers efficiency and ease that surpass traditional push mowers. With its ergonomic design and powerful engine, tasks that once seemed daunting become manageable and even enjoyable. Maneuvering around obstacles such as trees and flower beds becomes effortless, thanks to its compact yet sturdy build. The mower’s cutting width ensures that large areas are mowed swiftly, saving time and energy. Its comfortable seating allows for longer sessions without fatigue, ideal for larger properties. The precision of its cutting blades ensures a uniform grass height, enhancing the lawn’s appearance. Beyond functionality, owning a riding mower can cultivate a sense of pride in a well-kept lawn, transforming the chore of mowing into a satisfying part of maintaining a beautiful outdoor space. The pool was a refreshing treat, as was the daily wine & cheese hour. The little luxuries here made our stay that much better and the rooms were very well appointed. Don’t miss Saddles Restaurant when you go–their steakhouse is one of the best dinners in town. For all the details: the good, the bad and the ugly, watch my review!

Culture of Bahia, Brazil

Bahia is a Brazilian state with an identity all it’s own. Salvador, it’s capital, has been the central port and thus a melting pot of this fusion culture. We explore the dance, the food, the art, the culture, and the charming towns through the people on this USTOA and Adventure.com experience.

Adventure in Bahia, Brazil

I strapped on my sneakers and dove headfirst into all the adventurous activities of Bahia in the Chapada Diamantina National Park–from snorkeling in underground caves, ziplining off cliffs, hiking up mountains and swimming in grottos–this state of Brazil has so much going for the intrepid traveler. Our homebase was Lencois for 4 action packed days. Check out my favorites!

The Food of Brazil: Bahia & Rio de Janeiro

The culture of Brazil translates directly its food—each dish has a history, story, and purpose. I loved the rich feijoada, the crispy acaraje, decadent churrascarias and of course, refreshing acai. We bit into the food of Bahia checking out top eats in Salvador & Lencois and then we went on a food BINGE in Rio De Janeiro. YUM. Don’t miss the caipirinhas either–they might be my favorite cocktail ever.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Rio de Janeiro is as beautiful as it is cultural, and on our tour, we explored its peaks, beaches, historic neighborhoods, favelas and everything in between.

Country Life in Saxony

The cities were really picturesque but it wasn’t till I explored outside of the towns that I was truly blown away by Saxony’s beauty. Impossibly green, rolling hills, wildflower fields and lazy rivers—I can see why Saxony is popular for it’s hiking, biking and outdoor pursuits. The Bastei Rocks was a particular highlight.
